About this deal

Mark Camoccio tests the new BSA Portable PCP Compressor, which provides air for your PCP air rifle wherever you go! The 12 V DC or 220 V AC connection makes it possible to use the compressor in home or on location on 12V from a car's battery. We have also taken the time to write a clear, comprehensive User Manual in ‘English, English’ so that users can use their new compressor safely and efficiently from the get-go

When dealing with high-pressure air, it does pay to have your wits about you and respect the system. That said, operation here is pretty straight forward, with the process as follows: The 12 V DC or220 V AC connection makes it possible to use the compressor in home or on location on 12V from a car's battery. In conclusion, the production and availability of Ballistic Co2 gas canisters and PCP pumps are essential for the airsoft and paintball communities. Related productsAn automatic shut down can what can be adjusted on the digital display so the compressor shuts off when the setpoint is reached. (Never leave the compressor unattended) Ballistic Co2 gas canisters and PCP (Pre-Charged Pneumatic) pumps play a crucial role in the world of airsoft and paintball. These items are essential resources for powering these popular recreational activities. These products are integral to the functioning of airsoft and paintball guns. It ensures that players have a reliable source of propulsion for their projectiles. If you fancy the car battery route, then follow as above, but this time, select ‘DC12V’ on the red switch, then connect the two ‘jump lead’ cables to the plus, and the minus terminals on the car’s battery. Keep the car engine running whilst the operation is carried out, too, as with jump starting, especially if you have an iffy car battery, so as not to run down the battery in any way. Of course, there is the issue of warm air expanding, so with everything warming during the charging process, you might see a small drop in pressure when everything cools and settles. Close inspection and monitoring will tell you if the gauge needs to be pre-set just a little higher to take this ‘settling’ into account, and if that’s the case, it’s easily done, given the small drop-down marker on the gauge. Of course, this small element of trial and error, in the interests of being ultra-precise, is at the outset. Thereafter, with the gauge finely set, precise fills should be guaranteed. Shop a variety of compressor options to fit the needs of everyone. From casual, weekend warriors to gun clubs and shooting ranges.

Important note: The Rover air compressor can only be used for filling your airrifle pressure tube or pressure bottle with a 600cc capacity. It can not be used for breathing air cylinders or scuba cylinders. Only for filing your Airgun directly. Or small Carbon Bottles found on PCP Airguns. Not Larger Capacity Carbon Bottles or Scuba Tanks. Please call me 0427576388 if any questions. We do recommend you get the right compressor oil or silicon lube where necessary. Likewise, investing in proper filters will prevent moisture and debris entering your airgun’s air reservoir. You can find these under our Fittings / Filling Accessories category.

On the other hand, PCP pumps are favored by more serious and dedicated airsoft and paintball enthusiasts. These pumps allow users to charge a reservoir with high-pressure air. PCP pumps are known for their reliability and can be used repeatedly, making them a cost-effective choice for those who engage in these sports regularly. This Rover 310 bar PCP air compressor is ideal for filling your air rifle pressure tube or pressure bottle up to max 600 cc. As mentioned, BSA’s compressor gives the user the choice of running it from a car battery, but given that the majority of shooters will opt for the rather more civilised route of mains plug-in, I’ll cover that process first.

So here goes: Filling the Scorpion from a residual 100 bar up to 200 bar, the BSA Compressor took 1min, 45 seconds. Filling from almost empty (30 bar) up to 232 bar, the process took just 3.5 minutes. Operation is fairly noisy, with a significant ... chug ... chug ... chug … motor noise throughout. Reach completion, and the auto-off and quiet finish are a simple indication of ‘job done’. So on the face of it, all very efficient.

Rover High Pressure Air 300 bar 4500 Psi PCP Compressor

The compressor is equipped with a fan to keep the system from overheating. Always switch the fan on before use and keep it on for a few moments after use. It takes the compressor an average of 3 minutes to fill a 1000psi PCP tank. Use the compressor with a normal household plug or connect it to a 12V motor battery. FEATURES OF THE 12V PCP COMPRESSOR Connect the push-fit mains cable, and plug into the mains. Gentle fans can now be heard to start up. Unlike some other PCP compressors, the Air Rover uses a unique DRI-PAK filtration system, housed in an oversized brass filter tube, which is filled with desiccated moisture-absorbing media that removes 95%+ of the moisture from the air , thus protecting your valuable gun from corrosion. Because we ourselves are quite skeptical about the proliferation of all kinds of compressors, we were pleasantly surprised when we were offered this compressor from one of our suppliers to test it out.
