That comes through here and its interesting and telling to see how each member of the family copes (or doesn't) with this being the case. I felt like the story was more focused on the two sisters and their strained relationship than it was on the kidnapping.

A real 'just a few more pages and then I'll go to sleep' book' 'Brilliant book, I could not put it down. If you like Clare Mackintosh, Katie Marsh, Kerry Fisher, Jenny Blackhurst, Rachel Abbott, Laura Marshall, Elle Croft, Cara Hunter or Lisa Jewell then you will be utterly gripped by this psychological thriller with a shocking sting in the tale. Don’t get me wrong, I love suspense, but when you have your suspicions and want to know what happens, there’s a fine line between holding the suspense for the right amount of time before revealing, and holding the expense too long, causing the plot to stagnate. Having just finished Michael Robotham’s The Secrets She Keeps, I confess to being a little burnt out on abducted baby thriller plots, but this one served well to keep the level of tension in the family wound very tight. I hover in the entrance as she takes a tour of the kitchen, peering at the few dirty items in the sink, opening the fridge and scrutinising the contents.Marlowe is a witness to events and, at most, is able to manipulate them in subtle ways to balance the scales of justice a bit.

So Karen sends her new doll for a visit and Nancy thinks that Karen sent her the doll as a gift to keep. After using the claim check to retrieve a set of photos of Weld and a reputed gangster named Steelgrave, Marlowe visits her agent and makes him understand that, far from trying to blackmail Weld, he may be able to help her. Detective Jonah Sheens quickly discovers that Keely and her sister, Nina, disappeared from a children’s home a week ago. While trying to find Daisy lots of secrets start unravelling revealing that the perfect family Emily tried so hard to build was not so perfect after all. Lodge raises the bar for twists and turns to lofty nosebleed heights and saves a deliciously diabolical surprise for the very end. Emily's daughter, Daisy goes missing when Jess is babysitting her while Emily, her husband and stepdaughter go out for New Year's Eve. Fans of In the Dark by Cara Hunter, The Girl Before by JP Delaney, The Last Thing She Told Me by Linda Green, Her Name Was Rose by Claire Allan, The Innocent Wife by Amy Lloyd, Our Little Lies by Sue Watson and Behind Closed Doors by BA Paris will love this. It has at its heart the relationship between sisters Emily and Jess who have been estranged for the past sixteen years.

The health issues with Ben Lightman’s dad are now public knowledge but he seems to be having some real struggles handling this case in his usual calm, methodical manner and Juliette can’t help wondering why. Told alternately from the two sister’s point of view, Little Sister is a story of twists, turns and surprises, but more it’s the exploration of sibling relationships. Isabel Ashdown, "Η μικρή αδερφή", που κυκλοφόρησε μόλις πριν από λίγες ημέρες από τις εκδόσεις Ψυχογιός, "ερωτεύτηκα". But the silence remained, broken by nothing more than the gentle whistle of wind passing the windows that looked out across the drive.

Perfect for fans of Cara Hunter, Linda Green, Laura Marshall, Amy Lloyd, Linda Green, and Claire Allan. My Naughty Little Sister has charmed generations of adults and children alike thanks to Dorothy Edwards' playful stories and Shirley Hughes' beautiful illustrations. She insists the clues to where Nina is are hidden are in her story, but if Jonah and his team follow those miniscule hints will they indeed find the missing sister or will they simply be playing some macabre game of Keely’s, whose ending might very well be dark, dangerous and deadly?

I didn't mind knowing what happened to Daisy before the end of the book, I found that it worked for this story.Plus, there are some revelations which show that one of the sisters is not as nice as she appears to be at the beginning of the book.
