About this deal

Have to cut the battery cover to make it fit, plus y'know, weight savings on excess plastic or something. square and either Dremel or utility knife the plastic pedestal to just below where the bottom of the Teflon was. There’s a desktop setting for mouse actions on the desktop itself (I’m assuming that you are using KDE). So long ago I cant even remember when it was, but its still working as good today as when I bought it probably close to 5 years ago. Scroll wheel is very bad, especially if you compare it to Roccat scroll wheels or wheels from G703 and G Pro mouses.

The sides are made of slightly textured plastic which helps provide a better grip, but the top is a glossy, slippery plastic that feels a bit cheap. However, the MX518 Legendary's feet glide better, and its sensor is slightly more consistent than the G502 HERO. Most parts of it feel cheaply made, the scroll wheel has uneven steps, and the buttons have different pre-travel distances, which is off-putting. The mouse in itself is in perfect condition after this time, with on average 2-3 hours gaming a day.

Whereas the majority of mouse users will hold the device in their hand and move it around from the shoulder, I rest the heel of my hand on the desktop and move the mouse with my thumb and ring finger. They are small enough and correctly positioned so that you don't have to worry about accidentally pressing them in the middle of a game. i'm still using a logitech g5, been using this thing for 12 years now, eyeing other mice for years waiting for this to just break down but it never did. Not only do I have small hands as I already mentioned, but I also use a mouse very differently to most people. When you come to hold the MX518 though, you realise that the indentations are an optical illusion and the mouse surface is smooth.

I can’t stress how important it is for your health to find a mouse that fits and feels right in your hand over extended periods of time. Now this is not exactly the newest piece of gaming hardware on the market; I actually bought it a few months ago, as you can see from the bits of paint that have been worn away from long nights of Counter Strike and Battlefield 2. The Logitech logo has mostly faded on the top of my mouse, but I dont mind that at all considering how long ive had it. Catering to both enthusiasts and businesses alike; from desktop gaming to professional workstations, and all the supporting software.

All you're trying to do is mount the printed battery plate onto the G703 battery cover, to match the CAD screenshot above. On the other hand, the MX518 has more programmable buttons, and its curved shape feels more comfortable. It really does take a bit of getting used to, and you also need to configure the best possible sensitivity for each game you play. but with the MX518, the hand fits so comfortably over the mouse, it’s your hand that controls all the action.

However, the MX518 has a much wider and more precisely adjustable CPI range, and its lift-off distance is lower. Due to its slight curve and left-side thumb rest, it's designed for right hands, and its sides have a textured detail on the plastic that helps with grip. In that regard, I feel that Zowie is the successor of the classic Logitech that created mx518, G3(mx300), or the mini optical. One issue I did run into a couple of years ago was that the mouse wasn’t keeping up anymore in terms of speed.Although MX 518 does not use safe shape, and some people will dislike it because of it, it’s shape over time will imprint so much on you, that you will look for it in other mice. I know this for a fact since I suffered from a terrible bout of RSI induced tendonitis last year – a direct result of how I use a mouse. honestly, I really like the G400s, if you can get ahold of one of those, it'd be a straight upgrade from your MX518 in every way.
