About this deal

Ive heard some of these newer batches are getting pushed out onto shelves to sell so quickly they havent really macerated at the factories 🤷♂️. This cedrat boise has a slight pineapple scent to it when putting it on and it doesn’t matter how much you put on you cant smell it after 5 minutes. Very strong opening that settles into what i only can describe as the old dior cologne mixed with the old dior homme. The Original is laid-back and fresh, like a t-shirt for warm weather, while the Intense is refined, mature, and luxurious, suitable for formal occasions. And not apparently evident in this case--but quite often the case in men's perfumery-- adding the word Intense to a fragrance is nothing more than a marketing gimmick utilized to sell the fragrance; because it often turns out that the fragrance smells quite different from the original, while having the same or sometimes worse performance.

As time goes on into the wear, these two dimensions begin to intermix well and you begin to see the fragrance as one unified thing: a “heavy freshie” if you will. And just for the record, according to the comprehensive Longevity chart above -- based on several hundred user votes for Intense Cedrat Boise--about 21% of all users are getting moderate (4 to 6 hour) longevity, while 74% are getting long-lasting to eternal longevity (from 7 to 12 hours plus). I've smelled this on paper and on other people, and it's fantastic, but when I spray it on myself the leather just becomes overwhelming and makes me smell like a car seat on a hot day. After a while i do understand the ashtray comparisions, don't like the dry down at all, maybe its the leather scent but do not like it. Blind bought this after reading positive reviews on here but to be honest I was pretty dissappointed.

This one is nice enough but the dry down isn't as nice and the stronger vanilla and the oud don't really work with it in my opinion. It has been said before, but I'll repeat it, this is a smoother, more refined, lusher version of CB. The fragrance opens with a burst of refreshing and zesty citrus notes, led by the star ingredient, cedrat, which provides a distinctive and nuanced aroma that is both invigorating and intriguing.

Intense may be "rounder and darker", but the OG has better projection and a sparklier, livelier feel.It has a slightly better performance than the original watered down version, so there's a detectable improvement on this one at least to my nose. I haven't sampled the OG but if it's less woody and more fruity then I'm certain I'll prefer this one. Mancera's Cedrat Boise is a niche composition mixed from high quality ingredients and targeted at the consumer who wants to wear something out of the ordinary. Update: With a full wear, I'm definitely getting the masculine descriptor now--this is citrus over spicy woods, whereas Akro Bake is a real gourmand.
