Benylin Chesty Coughs Non-Drowsy contains 2 active ingredients, Guaifenesin to loosen stubborn mucus and Levomenthol to help you breathe freely and lessen congestion. Liquorice and Squill belong to a group of medicines known as expectorants - they help loosen phlegm in people with chesty coughs. Using medicines containing active ingredients such as guaifenesin, ipecacuanha, ammonium chloride and squill can help to break up any excess mucus that may have accumulated.

If you have a chesty cough then the best thing to do is get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids. If you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding, speak to your doctor or our pharmacist before taking this product. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have an underlying medical condition, are taking any other medication or complementary therapy, or if symptoms persist. Some of the oils used in the formulation tend to separate to the surface when the bottle is at rest and therefore the product carries the instruction to “shake the bottle” before use.
